At our Washington State treatment center, we offer support for co-occurring disorders when clinically appropriate in our residential treatment program. Our medical support team, including our Medical Director and a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, help patients navigate psychiatric concerns with clarity.

What Does Dual Diagnosis Treatment Entail at Prosperity Wellness Center?
Co-occurring disorder treatment is currently only available in our residential treatment program. Our outpatient substance use disorder treatment programs serve patients who may also have co-occurring mental health disorders, but our mental health support services are currently only offered on a residential treatment basis.
Our residential treatment program provides a stable, supportive environment for individuals to build healthy coping skills, learn more about addiction and recovery, and connect with others who are walking a similar path. Our comfortable treatment center includes semi-private rooms and a peaceful setting for recovery.
Our residential dual diagnosis treatment program in Washington typically lasts about four weeks. Days in our program consist primarily of group sessions, with individual counseling services as well. Core components of our program include:
- Daily problem-solving group sessions: Separated by gender, these group sessions help individuals unpack any trauma or other root causes for their addictions and then identify a path forward, helping them break the cycle of addiction.
- Empowerment circle: We close each week with an empowerment circle session, which includes residents and leadership coming together to express gratitude and empower each other to continue on in their recovery.
Our program places an emphasis on understanding the dynamics of the roots of your addiction, so that you are then empowered to take control of your recovery and maintain sobriety long-term. For individuals navigating co-occurring disorders, this focus is especially important, as it opens up the opportunity to examine the relationship between mental health symptoms and substance use.
